Why WCC

Why Southern California Organizations Choose WCC as Their Verkada Installer

Verkada hardware is reliable and well-documented — but the quality of the installation is where deployments succeed or fail. Camera placement, network preparation, Command configuration, and post-installation support all determine whether a Verkada system delivers on its promise or sits half-configured for years.

Certified Verkada Installer

WCC engineers are trained and authorized on the full Verkada product line — cameras, access control, intercoms, alarms, and environmental sensors. We install to Verkada's documented standards, not our own shortcuts.

Cameras + Network Under One Contract

Verkada cameras need proper PoE switching, VLAN segmentation, bandwidth planning, and firewall rules. WCC holds C-7 low-voltage and C-10 electrical licenses — we install the cameras and the network they run on. No finger-pointing between vendors.

Verkada Command Configuration Expertise

Most contractors stop at hardware. WCC configures the Command org structure — user roles, retention policies, alert rules, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and camera-to-access-control linking — so your system ships ready for security teams to use.

Multi-Site Deployment Standardization

For organizations with multiple locations, WCC develops a standardized deployment playbook — identical camera selection, mounting heights, access schedules, and Command org structure across every site. Security teams manage one unified system instead of eight different configurations.

Post-Installation Support Included

Troubleshooting, firmware monitoring, license renewals, camera replacements, and on-site service after the install is complete. We don't hand over a login and disappear — we remain your Verkada support resource.

SLED & Enterprise Experience

WCC has delivered into LAUSD (500+ schools), LAX (13 years, 1,000+ cameras), and enterprise campuses across SoCal. We understand prevailing wage, E-Rate, CMAS, HIPAA alignment, and the procurement realities of public and enterprise buyers.

The Installation Process

How a WCC Verkada Installation Actually Runs

A repeatable five-phase process — from first walk-through to handover runbook. No surprises, no guesswork, no "we'll figure it out when we get there."

1

Site Survey

On-site walk with a WCC engineer. Camera coverage mapping, access control door audit, network closet inspection, and PoE capacity verification.

2

System Design

Camera model selection by location, mounting heights, cable routing, door controller scoping, and Verkada license sizing — delivered with a written scope and BOM.

3

Network Prep

PoE+ switch deployment where needed, dedicated VLAN creation, bandwidth verification, firewall rules configured for Verkada's cloud endpoints.

4

Installation

Camera mounting, cable pulling and termination, access control hardware installation, intercom wiring, and Command provisioning — all by WCC W-2 engineers, no subs.

5

Commissioning

Camera angle verification, door badge testing, Command org configuration, user role setup, retention policy application, and on-site staff training before sign-off.

WCC vs. a General Contractor

How WCC's Installation Differs from a Typical Security Contractor

Installation FAQs

Verkada Installer FAQs — Southern California

How long does a Verkada installation typically take?
A typical 20-30 camera single-site installation runs 3-5 days on-site, including Command configuration and staff walkthrough. Larger multi-site deployments are phased — we install one site at a time, verify, then roll the playbook across additional locations. Exact timeline depends on site prep, permitting (if required), and whether network infrastructure needs upgrading before cameras go in.
Does WCC install the network equipment Verkada needs?
Yes. Verkada cameras need PoE+ switching, proper VLAN segmentation, and specific firewall rules. WCC holds C-7 low-voltage and C-10 electrical contractor licenses (CSLB #819788) — we install switching, cabling, and electrical as part of the same contract. No second vendor needed.
Do you configure Verkada Command after installation?
Yes — this is where most installations fall short and where WCC invests extra engineering time. We configure the Command org structure, user role definitions, retention policies, alert rules, LDAP/AD integration, and camera-to-access-control linking so the system ships ready for your security team to operate. We also deliver a written runbook documenting the configuration.
Can you install Verkada across multiple locations?
Yes. Multi-site Verkada deployments are a core WCC specialty. We develop a standardized deployment playbook — identical camera selection, mounting standards, access schedules, and Command org structure — and apply it consistently across every location. Your security team manages one unified Verkada environment instead of a patchwork of independent installs.
Do you use subcontractors for Verkada installations?
No. WCC installs with W-2 employee engineers. The team on-site is trained on Verkada, covered by WCC's insurance, and accountable to WCC's project manager — not a revolving door of contract labor. For SLED and enterprise buyers where prevailing wage, background checks, and accountability matter, this is non-negotiable.
What happens after the Verkada installation is complete?
Post-installation support is included. That covers camera troubleshooting, firmware monitoring, Verkada license renewals, camera replacements under warranty, and on-site service for moves/adds/changes. We don't hand over a login and disappear — we stay as your Verkada support resource for the life of the system.
Do you install Verkada in the Inland Empire?
Yes. WCC is headquartered in Chino, CA — the Inland Empire is our home market. No travel fees in Chino, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, Redlands, Riverside, Corona, Murrieta, or Temecula. Response times on support calls in the IE are typically same-day.
What does a Verkada installation cost?
Verkada installation cost depends on camera count, camera model mix, access control scope, whether network infrastructure needs upgrading, and site complexity (mounting heights, conduit requirements, after-hours work). After a site survey, WCC provides a written scope, BOM, and fixed-price quote — no open-ended T&M billing on standard installations. Contact us for a no-obligation site assessment and quote.
