BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) conferencing allows participants to join meetings from their own laptop using whichever platform is appropriate — Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, or others — by connecting to the room's AV system via HDMI, USB, or wirelessly. The room's camera, microphone, and speakers become the input and output devices for the laptop. WCC designs BYOD rooms with clean cable management, automatic switching, and one-touch connectivity so the experience is consistent regardless of platform or device.

Display sizing is based on the furthest viewing distance in the room and the type of content being shared. A general rule is one inch of screen diagonal per foot of viewing distance for presentation content. WCC performs a room assessment that accounts for room dimensions, seating layout, ambient light levels, and content type to recommend the right display size, brightness specification, and mounting position for optimal legibility.
