Platform Capabilities

FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer — Key Capabilities

FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer are the management and analytics foundation of the Fortinet Security Fabric — providing the centralized visibility and control that makes large-scale Fortinet deployments manageable.

Centralized Policy Management

FortiManager manages security policy across all FortiGate devices from a single interface — policy packages, object libraries, and deployment workflows ensure consistent policy across every location.

Administrative Domain (ADOM)

FortiManager ADOMs provide logical separation of managed devices — ideal for MSPs managing multiple customers or enterprises segmenting management by region, department, or compliance requirement.

SD-WAN Orchestration

FortiManager centrally manages FortiGate Secure SD-WAN — SD-WAN templates, performance SLA policies, and application steering rules deployed consistently across all branch FortiGate devices.

Log Aggregation & SIEM Integration

FortiAnalyzer aggregates logs from all FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP devices — structured log storage, real-time event correlation, and syslog forwarding to SIEM platforms.

Security Fabric Reporting

FortiAnalyzer Security Fabric reports provide cross-device visibility — threat landscape summaries, top application usage, bandwidth analysis, and user activity reports across the entire Fortinet environment.

Compliance Reporting

Pre-built compliance report templates for PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and NIST — scheduled delivery, executive summaries, and evidence packages for audit support.

FAQ

FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer FAQs

Do you deploy FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer in Southern California?
Yes. WCC deploys and configures FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer throughout Southern California — serving all six counties from our headquarters in Chino, CA.
What is the difference between FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer?
FortiManager is the centralized management platform — it manages FortiGate security policy, FortiSwitch configuration, and FortiAP profiles from a single interface. FortiAnalyzer is the log aggregation and analytics platform — it collects logs from all Fortinet devices, correlates security events, and generates compliance reports. Many enterprises deploy both together.
Is FortiManager required for a Fortinet deployment?
No. Individual FortiGate devices can be managed standalone via FortiOS GUI or CLI. FortiManager becomes valuable when managing three or more FortiGate devices — it provides centralized policy management, consistent change deployment, and audit trails that standalone management cannot provide. WCC recommends FortiManager for all multi-site Fortinet deployments.
Can FortiAnalyzer integrate with our SIEM?
Yes. FortiAnalyzer supports syslog forwarding to third-party SIEM platforms — Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, and others. WCC configures log forwarding and field mapping as part of FortiAnalyzer deployment.
Do you deploy FortiManager in the Inland Empire?
Yes. WCC deploys FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer across the Inland Empire — serving Chino, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Fontana, Redlands, Riverside, Corona, Murrieta, and Temecula. No travel fees in the Inland Empire.
