DAS and ERRCS installation
In-building cellular for every carrier and fire code radio coverage, surveyed, installed and tested.

The short answer
WCC installs DAS (distributed antenna systems) and ERRCS across Southern California: cellular coverage for AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile inside buildings that block signal, and emergency responder radio coverage required by fire code. Every project starts with a signal survey and ends with coverage testing. For pricing, see DAS installation cost.
System types
Which system you need
| System | Best for |
|---|---|
| Cell signal booster | Small and mid-size buildings with usable signal outside. WilsonPro |
| Passive DAS | Mid-size buildings, using an outdoor donor antenna and amplifiers |
| Active DAS | Large buildings and campuses, with carrier-provided signal over fiber |
| ERRCS / BDA | Fire and police radio coverage required by the fire marshal |
Fire code
When ERRCS is required
The California Fire Code and local fire departments, including Los Angeles, require emergency responder radio coverage in buildings where radio signal falls short, typically in new construction, large buildings and below-grade parking. The requirement usually surfaces during permitting or the fire marshal's final inspection. We test the building, design the system, install it and support the acceptance test.
How it works
How a DAS project runs
Survey
Signal measured floor by floor for each carrier and public safety bands.
Survey
Design and approval
Antenna layout, equipment and carrier or AHJ approvals.
Design
Install and test
Installed, then tested for coverage and fire marshal acceptance.

Why WCC
DAS, cabling and fiber from one team
DAS depends on cable pathways, fiber and power in the same ceilings our cabling crews already work in. WCC installs all of it, so there's no coordination gap between trades. See network cabling.
FAQ
DAS questions
What is a DAS?
A distributed antenna system spreads cellular signal through a building using antennas connected by coax or fiber, eliminating dead zones.
Is ERRCS required in my building?
Often, for new and large buildings where first responder radio signal falls short. Your fire marshal decides. We can test the building.
Which carriers do you cover?
AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, plus FirstNet public safety.
How much does DAS cost?
See our DAS installation cost guide for per-square-foot ranges and what drives price.
Do I need a DAS or a booster?
Smaller buildings with usable outdoor signal often only need a booster. Larger or denser buildings need DAS.
Do you handle fire marshal acceptance?
Yes. We support ERRCS acceptance testing and provide the documentation.
